We're proud to present Dr Brené Brown's Official Dare to Lead evidence based Courage building programme.

About the Program:

This Leadership Development workshop is based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. Dare to Lead™ is an evidence based courage-building program.

After studying courage for more than a decade, the most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable.

More about Dr Brené Brown’s research can be found here

Brené describes a leader as “anyone who is responsible for finding the potential in people and processes and has the courage to develop that potential”

Sara Nanayakkara is a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator trained by Dr Brené Brown herself. She has 28 years experience of Coaching, Facilitating and Consulting and has worked in 53 countries worldwide.

This work shop is run online over 24 hours, split over six half day modules. The series for Women of colour is running on a Thursday morning and Sunday afternoon.

In this programme you will:

  • Understand why walking through with vulnerability (uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure) is the foundational skill set of courage.
  • Recognise that vulnerability is the birthplace of daring leadership including creativity, accountability, and difficult conversations.
  • Understand the critical role that self-awareness plays in daring leadership.
  • Understand that it’s the armour that we use to protect ourselves – not fear – that is the greatest obstacle to daring leadership.
  • Identify the four skill sets that make up courage: rumbling with vulnerability, living into our values, BRAVING trust, and learning to rise.
  • Recognise that daring leadership requires showing up for hard conversations.
  • Understand the physics of falling - and learn the process of getting back up.

What's included in the workshop:

  • Official Brené Brown DTL workshop accompaniment journal - exclusive to the programme.
  • Access to exclusive videos recorded by Brené to help embed the course content.
  • An Official 'Dare to Lead™ Trained' certificate on your LinkedIn account on completion of the full 24 hour programme.
  • 2 x Individual coaching sessions to support you to embed the learning.
  • Circle back session - group online session to reconnect and embed learning

Daring Teams Rollout Programme*

For those who wish to scale the content to the rest of their team and organisation internally; successful Dare to Lead™ ‘trained’ participants are eligible to run the ‘Daring Teams Rollout Programme’ and cascade the content to the rest of their organisation – because doing this work on your own is like swimming up stream. Sharing and agreeing with your team how to do this work is the start of a culture renovation at work.

We provide an additional module to upskill Dare to Lead™ trained participants to cascade the content in their organisation via the Daring Teams roll out programme (DTRP) additional charges apply.

  • This is a ½ day walk through, giving participants a structured framework and printable workbook to enable them to cascade the Dare to Lead™ content across their own teams in their organisation. Details of this 7 module programme are available to those interested having completed the 24 hour DTL programme.

*This isn’t a  ‘train the trainer’ but a series of facilitated meetings coordinated by the Dare to Lead™ Trained participant.
